WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO: I've known from a very young age that all I wanted to be was a veterinary nurse. I have worked in many aspects of the field, anesthesia/surgery, emergency, ICU, general practice and now, hospice care. I have to say the most meaningful part of my career has been forming amazing relationships with all the pet parents I've met over the years. I've always enjoyed educating and guiding them through their lifelong journey with their pet. To be the calming voice through some of the most difficult times in that journey isn't easy, but it's my passion to ensure that they know I care and I'm listening.
BEST WAY TO START THE DAY: Having my kids or husband feed all the animals before I wake up. It's a rare occasion since our guinea pig is pretty loud and demanding for his breakfast, but it really makes my day!
